Mission:Healthy Relationships

Mission: Healthy Relationships is a communication skills program for military and veteran couples. Based on a curriculum from the National MS Society, this program touches on combat stress and issues of couple reintegration post deployment.

Our solders returning from combat duty are coming home from an environment that you and I could not possibly imagine. A great number of these veterans are suffering from conditions ranging from traumatic brain injuries, catastrophic wounds and post traumatic stress. We owe them every chance to return to their families with the necessary skills to cope with these life changing circumstances.

Mission: Healthy Relationships gives a foundation for effective communications between veterans, their spouses and families. Through comprehensive team building exercises and peer to peer work groups, these wounded warriors have the unique opportunity to share their experiences with people who have been there and understand what we can not. The program has participating veterans ranging from the Korean  and Vietnam wars to the current conflicts of our time. The common thread amongst them all is: We Are Not Alone.

More video work is on the drawing board that will illustrate more techniques of effective communication skills.
